In Seven Regulators & Four Shadows, two people born one day apart can produce opposite outcomes from the same chart structure. The differentiating factor is the Stellar Regent (命元星): a single lunar mansion shift changes which planet anchors the reading, flipping Mars from benefic to malefic. This is a documented, astronomically verifiable case.

Their charts come out almost identical: the slow-moving planets haven't shifted, the same fixed-star influences, even the palace structure overlaps. The only difference is the Moon — in one chart it sits in the Ox mansion (牛), in the other the Dipper mansion (斗).

The first person was imprisoned for theft in 2000.

The second, in those same years, made a tidy sum trading goods.

Read only by Five-Element generation and control, both charts hit a wall here: same structure, same influences — one chart, one reading.

But the Stellar Regent (命元星) always emerges, and the two charts split apart. In the method for fixing the Stellar Regent of a night birth, the Moon's position is precisely the key — so this single difference makes one chart's Stellar Regent Venus, the other's Jupiter.
