How Do You Read a Moon Person? Where My Failed Reading Went Wrong
Last time I wrote that a consultation went off the rails and I refunded the fee. This is where it went wrong.
The main reason for the failure is something quite particular to Seven Regulators & Four Shadows: its bodies are the Sun, the Moon, Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth. Most of us only know the Five Elements, but Seven Regulators also has the Sun and the Moon — and this client is a Moon person.
Usually, with a Moon person, if the other of their two Regents carries one of the Five Elements, we take that element as their Stellar Regent and read from there, because the elements generate and check one another, and the energetic reactions show up more clearly.
Reading Through the Element (Mars)
Read through the elements, this client’s Stellar Regent is Mars. The Imprinting Star is then Jupiter, a Benefactor Star — and since Seven Regulators reads the person through the stars, what the Stellar Regent and the Imprinting Star are matters a great deal.
And because the client was born at the Spring Equinox, Jupiter is stronger than Mars, so it is a Harmonious Star.
With Jupiter harmonious, the next star met is Venus, which checks Jupiter — so Venus becomes a Discordant Star. And Venus is also the Lord of the Journeys Palace.
By that reading of the chart, this person should not have settled abroad.
I had assumed the client was Taiwanese. When I heard “What? You’re in Europe right now?” my mind went blank.
Reading Through the Moon
But if the chart is read through the Moon rather than through Mars, Venus is no problem at all.
This is what is particular to Sun and Moon people: the Sun and Moon sit above the Five Elements, so to some degree they can regulate the elements’ conflicts. As a Moon person, the client then takes Jupiter as a stand-in star (暫代星), and Venus, the Journeys Palace Lord, becomes instead a Challenger Star that is nonetheless harmonious. In other words, settling abroad is a challenge for this person — and this person likes a challenge.
So the chance of settling abroad is indeed very high.
So with a Moon person, work through both paths, and let the chart verification decide which one to take.
