Modern Mansion System

The Modern Mansion System (今宿制) refers to the 28 Lunar Mansions as calculated with full precession correction — meaning the boundaries of each mansion are adjusted to reflect the actual current positions of their constituent stars as measured by modern astronomy.

In this system, the position of each lunar mansion can be independently verified against modern star catalogues and astronomical software. This verifiability is a defining characteristic of Eastern Classical Astrology's approach to the stellar layer of the dual coordinate system.
