Stellar Regent

命元星

The primary interpretive axis of a natal chart, derived through the lunar mansion of the natal degree.

The Stellar Regent (命元星) is the single most important planet in an Eastern Classical Astrology natal chart — the primary axis around which all other chart elements are interpreted.

Derivation chain: The natal degree of the Sun (day birth) or Moon (night birth) falls within one of the 28 Lunar Mansions. Each mansion carries a planetary quality (solar, lunar, or one of the five planets). The planet corresponding to that quality becomes the Stellar Regent — the individual's cosmic source embodiment.

Why "Stellar": The Stellar Regent is derived through the lunar mansion (a fixed stellar matrix) as the astronomical intermediary. It is not a direct solar principle, nor a purely zodiacal one — the stellar layer is essential to the derivation.

Why "Regent": The Stellar Regent governs the interpretation of the entire chart, echoing the framework of the Seven Regulators. It is the individual's primary Regulator, selected through direct energetic lineage from a specific stellar matrix.
