Estate Palace

The Estate Palace (田宅宮) carries three overlapping senses of "estate": ancestral inheritance and family enterprise (祖業), real property and fixed assets (房產、田產), and the household itself — the family of origin and, after marriage, one's own home.

It is the 子-hour palace, the lowest, most yin point of the daily cycle, where energy can descend no further and the body finally rests. Such complete rest requires absolute trust and security, which is why the Estate Palace signifies safety, groundedness, principle, and the values, responsibility, and conduct absorbed from one's upbringing.

Its condition colours a person's sense of inner stability: "with the household settled, the wider world can be settled." It stands opposite the Career Palace — the private base of security against the public arena of achievement.
