Service Palace

The Service Palace (奴僕宮) governs grounded, repetitive effort and the refinement of raw ideas into workable reality — labour, exercise and health-maintenance, care work, colleagues and subordinates, and diligent behind-the-scenes execution. Its keynote is cooperation and tempering: it grinds the flashy, half-formed inspiration of the Creativity Palace down into practical, on-the-ground work.

It is the 戌-hour palace of housekeeping and setting things in order — hands-on, physical, unglamorous, and validated only through large amounts of patient repetition. Classical sources call it the least self-centred palace, the exact opposite of the Hidden Palace's self-absorption.

It also signifies the chronic, lifestyle-related ailments that accumulate through overwork or poor habits — the acquired, as opposed to the innate, dimension of health.
