Palace Lord

A Palace Lord (宮主星) is the ruling planet of a given palace, named in the pattern "[Palace] Lord" — the Life Palace Lord (命宮主) rules the Life Palace, the Career Palace Lord rules the Career Palace, and so on. In prose it reads naturally as "the Lord of the Life Palace".

Where a reading draws on two palaces jointly, the compact "[X]–[Y] Lord" form is used: the Life–Hidden Lord (命相主) joins the Life and Hidden Palaces; the Adversity–Blessings Lord (疾福主) joins the Adversity and Blessings Palaces. There are fifteen such joint-lord terms across the twelve palaces.

This entry defines the naming pattern only. The "Lord" title is used for palace rulers throughout; the title "Regent" is reserved for the Stellar Regent family (命元星、命度主、身度主) and is not applied to palace rulers — keeping the self's governing star clearly distinct from the rulers of individual palaces.
